It's fantastic to see all three of my Jack Orden stories side by side. It's taken a while to reach this point. I have had to rewrite two of the novels to bring them into line with The Sanalow Years, which was a completely unplanned novel. It was originally meant to be an in-between story.
Currently, the books are all on Kindle only. I am working on the paperbacks, but I wasn't happy with how the covers looked when they were printed after I used the Amazon cover creator.
I am going to attempt to solve my issues with some of the wonderful cover designers on Fiverr.
My first poetry volume of Through My Eyes has been out a while now, and I am honoured to be supporting Making Space. Please make sure you go and buy the book. All profits go directly to them.
The second volume of Through My Eyes was published in December 2020, again it is supporting Making Space.
I ran a poetry class for Making Space in October 2020, and it was a great success. I am looking forward to the next one.
As you all know, I won the 2019 National Novel Writing Month challenge.
I wrote over 50,000 words in 15 days instead of 30.
I took part again in November 2020 and smashed my score! This year, I am aiming to make the big 50,000 in ten days. Please come and wish me luck in November.
The Creator Chaos podcast is currently taking a break from recording. I am hoping myself, Peter James Martin, Zack Brooks, Kelvin Rodrigues, and Peter Hartog will be able to return in the future. In the meantime, we talk every day and we're all focused on our writing projects.
Check out the diary below for my upcoming marketing events, book signing & talks.
DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS THERE ARE NO FUTURE BOOK EVENTS PLANNED AT THE MOMENT.
I have just been to visit my previous website to make sure everyone knows to redirect here. I found this comment from Rob in regards to my blog post: My First Official Review. Thanks so much Rob!
What I liked in this post was your honesty and mindset, as you have taken the feedback in a positive way, which we all know is tough. If you take what you now know into your next book like you said, then I would be confident you can reach a 4 or a 5 star. I also love you front cover by the way.
When was The Wayfarer's Journey and The Child of Light written?
Between 2000-2003 while I was suffering kidney failure. The story was split into two books, the sequel being The Child of Light. Both manuscripts were filed away until 2018, when, as if by magic, a publishing opportunity became available.
When was The Wayfarer's Journey and The Child of Light published?
They were originally published in 2018 and 2019.
Where does The Sanalow Years fall in the timeline?
It's a prequel which comes before The Wayfarer's Journey. The Sanalow Years, The Wayfarer's Journey (now The Judelen Stratagem) and The Child of Light are Jack Orden's trilogy within the book series. They run back-to-back. He will not appear in any other prequels unless they are in-between stories.
When was The Sanalow Years published?
Will there be another book after The Child of Light?
I couldn't say just now. I am working on The War of Power prequel first. This is the story that takes you right back to the beginning of the world.
When was Through My Eyes published?
June 2020. When I set it up on Amazon I put the Making Space bank details in so all profits go straight to them.
When will the next poetry volume be out?
It was published on December 6th 2020. I am hoping to have volume three published in 2021.
Are you working on anything else?
Oh yes. I had an idea for a supernatural novella pop into my head a few months ago. I have the finished manuscript. I am just debating whether to pass it out to beta readers or go straight for professional editing and publish it.
I am also working on a light-hearted, humorous novel inspired by events in my life. This is going to be my focus for NaNoWriMo 2020.
UPDATE: I actually ended up writing three new stories during NaNoWriMo, so watch this space for updates on my plans for these.
